What I Do

My mission is to work with organizations that wish to change the world, and to help them to find strategic clarity and encouragement.

I’m a management consultant with over 20 years’ experience in providing strategic support to organizations that have a socio-economic and environmental impact – primarily social enterprises, non-profits organizations, high-impact businesses and government departments.

My specialty is strategy design, facilitation of complex strategic and restructuring processes, mentoring social entrepreneurs and managing large-scale national research projects.

I have focused my career on the synergy between business strategy thinking and social impact. I advocated early for social enterprises in South Africa, and have written, spoken, and been interviewed frequently on this topic. I have also contributed to initiatives looking to develop a vibrant social entrepreneurial ecosystem within the country.

I have worked closely with organizations such as the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Social Enterprise Academy, Citizen Surveys and Imani Development.

My work has spanned the region, and I have been fortunate to work on projects in Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, and consult to organizations that operate across East and Southern Africa.

My educational background is sound. I have an Honours Degree in Business Science from the University of Cape Town, and a Masters Degree (summa cum laude) in Social Development from the University of the Western Cape.
